Mary McNamara Honored at 2017 Annual Women of Distinction Awards

Mary McNamara has been selected to be honored as one of the 2017 Women of Distinction Awards by The Examiner! Congrats to Mary and Cornell Roofing & Sheet Metal on this great distinction!

This annual event shines the spotlight and recognizes area women leaders who play an active role in their local economy and community. The honorees come from an array of industries and backgrounds, including: Business, Government, Education, Philanthropic and Non-profit, representing Eastern Jackson County.

These women are leaders and role models, moving their community forward across all areas. They possess traits ranging from Innovation and Executive Leadership to Community and Civic Engagement, Mentoring and Entrepreneurship. Honorees are nominated by other local community members that recognize their accomplishments and look for more in the future.

As well, each honoree is up for the Woman of the Year award! The Woman of the Year will be announced at the upcoming awards luncheon next month. New for this year, there will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award. And although, Mary McNamara has surely accomplished enough for a lifetime, she’s still a little too young for this one. We look forward to her bright future leading Cornell!

There will also be a section in The Examiner to see all the honorees and read about their many achievements and endeavors. The awards luncheon will be Thursday, March 23^rd at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center. Winners and honorees will be recognized at the awards luncheon and featured in the special Women’s’ publication.
